McConnell's Mill State Park is a great glacial
feature, so much, that it has been designated as a
National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service.
The trail in McConnell's Mill State Park consists of 7.6
miles going from the Hell's Hollow Trailhead to Alpha
Pass. Some of the sites to see along the trail are the
Limestone Kiln in Hell's Hollow, Hell's Hollow Falls,
several natural bridges and even a cave.

McConnell Mill was built by Daniel Kennedy. The Mill was
one of the first rolling mills in the country. The North
Country National Scenic Trail now runs beside the mill.

One of two covered bridges in Lawrence County, it was
built in 1874 and uses a Howe Truss. The bridge was
recently rebuild and now looks completely brand new now.
The North Country Trail passes across the bridge to get
you to the other side of the gorge.

the 7.6 miles in McConnell's Mill State Park. Located
near the Hell's Hollow end of the trail is Hell's Hollow
Falls. The falls are located on a side trail off the
