 For a hiker,
maps for the entire trail is sometimes hard to find. The Wampum
Chapter is trying to provide information for thru-hikers going end to end
on the North Country National Scenic Trail. These maps cover only
chapter territory in Lawrence and Beaver County in Pennsylvania.
 This information is only a
recommended route for the North Country National Scenic Trail. These
roads are mostly low use roads for convince to the hiker. The actual
route along the roads between sections of complete trail are not marked at
this time. Please be sure to come back to this page to check for
updates in the maps before thru-hiking this section of the North Country
National Scenic Trail.
The Road Route for hiking the
North Country Trail through the Wampum Chapter area is to as follows:
- Cross US Route 19 (jog left and then right) onto
Johnson Road .7 miles to McConnells Mill
State Park at McConnells Mill Road
- Right .1 miles to small parking lot on left, the
trail head for the Alpha Pass Trail

operating grist mill, across an historic
covered bridge and scenic gorge and woodland areas to Hells Hollow
parking lot on Shaffer Road
