Saturday, May 7

North Clausen Springs Hike! Help us greet the summer hiking season by hiking along a section of newly completed trail. This hike is 8 miles and is considered to be easy-moderate. There will be an option to do additional hiking around Clausen Lake after the main hike. Everyone is to bring a sack lunch to eat while on the hike. Meet at the Rosebud Visitor Center at 9:00 am to carpool or Clausen Springs Park at 9:30. Expect to hike for 4 hours.

Saturday, June 4

National Trails Day! Spend the day developing a new segment of trail in the Kathryn-Clausen Springs area. We will then celebrate the day's work with an evening picnic dinner and campfire at the Clausen Springs Campground. Everyone is encouraged to camp as a group with the option of additional hiking in the area on Sunday morning. Carpool will leave from the Rosebud Visitor Center at 9:20 am or meet at the Clausen Springs Park at 10:00 AM. Please RSVP a week in advance if you plan to camp.

Sunday, July 17

Fort Ransom State Park! Spend an afternoon exploring and canoeing at Fort Ransom State Park. We will plan to canoe at 12:00 PM followed by an optional hike on one of the many hiking trails after the canoe trip. Meet at the Rosebud Visitor Center at 10:30 AM to car pool. Be sure to bring your own sack lunch. Please RSVP two weeks in advance to reserve your canoe. There will be a park entrance fee and canoe rental fee.

Thursday, August 11- Sunday, August 14

North Country Trail Annual Conference! Plan to attend our national conference in Dayton, Ohio. Great hiking, Great speakers and a Great way to make new hiking friends from throughout the nation.

Saturday, August 27

5th Annual North Country Hiking Fest @ Itasca State Park (MN)! This full-day event will feature hikes, workshops, family activities, a free dinner, and a concert by the shores of Lake Itasca. Saturday, Sept 24

National Public Lands Day! Come and join us for a full day hike in the Sheyenne Grasslands near Milnor, ND. Meet at the Rosebud Visitor Center at 7:30 am on Saturday to carpool to the Grasslands. Expect to hike 8 miles on the full day of grasslands hiking. The hike is considered to be moderate. Because we will return late in the day, be sure to pack a sack lunch and late afternoon snack.
