Summer 2000 Activities

April, 2000
Spirit of the Woods participated in Earth Day by hosting an information and sales table.

Early spring was the time to do trail measuring for the next map set. Char and Joan made a good team.

May, 2000

Our chapter hiked with some folks from West Michigan. "No bikes!" says Ginny.

August, 2000

This month we joined with our northern neighbers, Grand Traverse for a walk along the Manistee. Tripping across their new bridges and high above the river. It was this trip on which we saw the Bottle Gentian.

Awards ceremony and walking the Mackinac Bridge.

Joan is recognized for 400 hours of volunteer service to the Trail.		Ed receives Volunteer of the Year Award for Spirit of the Woods Chapter, and a certificate for 100 volunteer hours
Gordy is also honored for 100 hours of volunteer work		Congratulations!
