Trail time was a report on fire-fighting in Utah and New Mexico by Ramona Venegas.
Meeting was chaired by Ramona Venegas. The “official” agenda was lost in cyberspace, but the group found topics to discuss!
It was suggested that the Executive Committee meet separately and conduct more of the business, thus allowing Trail Time to be expanded, and perhaps shorten the meetings. This will be discussed next month.
Minutes of the May 30 meeting were read, Nan moved to approve and Ramona seconded. Carried.
Treasurer Ed Chappel reports $723 as of May 31, but the sales data from NTD is not complete yet.
Memberships are at 51. It is recommended that all non-renewing families be contacted.
The need for carsonite posts was mentioned. About 30 might be needed.
It would be nice to have an information table at the Trout-a-rama, but no volunteers were forthcoming. A poster is needed at “Tiny’s” corner store.
The Striders will need us to host about four aid stations for their run.
There are two trees down between 5-Mile Rd. and the Sauble River. Also, we need signs which ask people to walk their bikes through wet areas.
At 9:20 Nan moved to adjourn, seconded by Stuart.
Members present: Ed and Nan Chappel, Judy Bass, Stuart Wolf, Ramona Venegas, Stephanie and Nathan Mehmed (grandchildren of Chappels) Minutes created from notes by Ramona.
