This 0.75 mile loop takes in Great Lakes scenes along the marina, channel, lighthouse, and boat ramp. You might time your walk to see the Ludington Michigan Carferry come or go. Although not a marked part of the trail you could easily walk north through Stearns Park or downtown.

Take US 10 (Ludington Avenue) to downtown Ludington. Continue through town and turn left on Ferry St. Parking is available in the second block, at the marked corner of this walking loop. You could also park at the beach and walk to the loop if you are familiar with the streets.

There is no fee to hike this trail or park. Minimum distance required to get the answer to the question about 0.5 mile. No dogs are allowed on the channel walkway side! The questions are listed on the entry form, and the question for this hike is on the printable information sheet.

The map below appears on the printable version, and should be adequate for this short hike. Also see Mason County Trails for a description of this trail.
