Ludington State Park is located just north of Ludington on M-116. There are 22 miles of trails, Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake beaches, year round activities, and extensive facilities.

 


On US 10, drive through downtown Ludington until the road dead ends at Lakeshore Dr. Turn north (right) and continue out of town. This becomes M-116. This route ends at the State Park.

There are about 22 miles of trail at Ludington State Park. You can hike dunes, wooded trails, boardwalks or the beach. There is an entry fee of $4/day or $24 for a yearly State Park pass. This is a moderate hike. Minimum distance required to get the answer to the question about 2.5 miles. The questions are listed on the entry form, and the question for this hike is on the printable information sheet.Take the Logging Trail for this contest, which leaves from the north end of the Pines Campground Loop.
