The Spirit of the Woods Conservation Club has built a 1.5 mile trail system on Bear Creek near Brethren, including "Mickey's Trail," an accessible trail along the water edge designed for those with mobility problems. Includes fishing decks and benches. There is a flower and tree list, and some trees are labeled as well.

From M-55 turn north on Highbridge Road through Brethren. North of Brethren turn west on Coates Highway. (This is not directly across from the east turn on Coates!) In just over a mile you will see the sign to turn left to the Spirit of the Woods Conservation Clubhouse, before crossing Bear Creek.

There is no fee to hike this trail or park. Hike the Ridge Trail to get this answer. Minimum distance required to get the answer to the question about 0.75 miles. The questions are listed on the entry form, and the question for this hike is on the printable information sheet.

The map below appears on the printable version, and should be adequate for this short hike. Paper maps of the trail system are located in a box posted just outside the clubhouse, or from the Spirit of the Woods Conservation Club, 3470 Rose Rd, Brethren, MI 49619, 231-477-5692.
