Headwaters of West Branch of Sturgeon River is a dependable water

the

(northward if eastbound). FH 16 is plowed in winter (low priority
plowing, though). FR 1500 and FR 1360 are not plowed. South
Laird Road is often plowed to a point about 1/4 mile east of the FR
1360 junction, from the east
only!
Trail conditions (as of 2005): Some trail work is
needed, but the trail should be easy to follow.
