- On the trail:
- Westbound: The trail traverses the railroad grade from Kawbawgam Pocket Park on the east to the Welcome Center on the north end of Harvey.
- Eastbound: From the Welcome Center north of Harvey, the trail follows the railroad grade to the Kawbawgam Pocket Park on the east side of Kawbawgam Road.

From M-28 turn south unto Kawbawgam Road. Pick up the trail at the Kawbawgam Pocket Park parking area and head west along the railroad grade. This section is all non-certified NCT, eventually crosses M-28 just east of Harvey via an overpass and then continues through Harvey, ending at the MDOT Welcome Center on the north edge of Harvey. This trail is also utilized by snowmobiles so be aware of that during the winter season.
- Vehicle access is:
- Off M-28, 5.4 miles east of the intersection of M-28 and US-41 in Harvey, via Kawbawgam Road. Turn south unto Kawbawgam Rd. Go about 0.1 mile and park in the Kawbawgam Pocket Park parking area to the east. The trail picks up heading west on the railroad grade towards Harvey.
- Off M-28/US-41 north of Harvey at the MDOT Welcome Center. Park in the Welcome Center parking area. The trail heads east behind the Welcome Center on the railroad grade.
