Westbound: The trail traverses the railroad grade from Kawbawgam Pocket Park on the east, crossing over M-28 on the viaduct and on to the MDOT Welcome Center on the north end of Harvey.
Eastbound: From the MDOT Welcome Center north of Harvey, the trail follows the railroad grade, crossing M-28 on the viaduct to the Kawbawgam Pocket Park on the east side of Kawbawgam Road. |

This segment of trail is utilized by snowmobiles so be aware of that during the winter season.
Vehicle access is:

Off M-28, 5.4 miles east of the intersection of M-28 and US-41 in Harvey, via Kawbawgam Road. Turn south unto Kawbawgam Rd. Go about 0.1 mile and park in the Kawbawgam Pocket Park parking area to the east. The trail picks up heading west on the railroad grade towards Harvey.

Off M-28/US-41 north of Harvey at the MDOT Welcome Center. Park in the Welcome Center parking area. The trail heads east behind the Welcome Center on the railroad grade.
