The North Country Trail Hikers Chapter is always interested in welcoming new members to our organization. Please consider becoming a member to help further our efforts to develop, maintain, protect, and promote the North Country National Scenic Trail here in the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Reasons for joining the North Country Trail Hikers Chapter:
-
Help finish the trail across the UP. Getting the trail on the ground involves activities for people of all interests and abilities, from route scouting, construction and blazing, to working with landowners and support activities on work trips.
-
Adopt an existing section of the trail. We'll provide you with tools and training.
-
Join us for hikes on the trail and elsewhere as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing and kayaking, picnics, potlucks, breakfast socials and more.
-
Keep informed of trail and other non-motorized outdoor recreation issues in the UP through our NCTH newsletter, Footnotes, and the national magazine, North Star, and all e-mail announcements of local and national events and activities.
-
Financially, or otherwise, support the North Country National Scenic Trail and other related issues in the UP.
