Winter Trails Day Hike January 10, 2009 |
|
|
The Winter Trails Day celebration took place at the Soldier Lake
Campground near Raco, Michigan. Snowshoe or Cross Country Skiing hikes
were organized in lengths of one or two miles. Many people lengthened
the distance by hiking around Soldier Lake.
The temperature was about nine below zero when the hike started, so the hot dog roast, dishes to pass, and the fire in the Pavillion were greatly appreciated. About forty people attended this event. The consensus was that this was one of our best events ever! The people responsible for setting up this event were Kay Kujawa, Stan Kujawa, and Glen Cornwell. |
