   John Briggs
Sadly, we have lost our friend, and leader for the past couple of years, John Briggs, who died in his sleep Friday, Feb. 7. We will miss John’s enthusiasm and smiles. He loved the woods, and loved the people. Our hearts and love go out to Nancy and their families.

GTHC is planning a bench with a plaque in his memory at a favorite place on the trail.

Nancy Briggs would like to have donations made to the GTHC, which must be made payable to the NCTA.

Note payment the following ways:

Make a check payable to the North Country Trail Association, and in the memo section write “In memory of John Briggs – GTHC”.

Send it to:
North Country Trail Association
229 E. Main Street
Lowell, MI 49331

There is also a way to make the donation online and make it in John’s memory. Go to:
Click on Donate up at the top, click on “In memory of” put in John’s name, and in the Comments section put “For Grand Traverse Hiking Club”.
