22 miles of certified trail in the hills of western New York.


The most recent glaciers did not cover the trianglular Allegany State Park area, leaving steep sided, V-shaped valleys and rugged terrain.



The Finger Lakes, Conservation, and North Country Trails are concurrent through the park, using park trail #1. Plenty of reminders of the former forests may be seen, such as this 5-foot diameter stump. Stony Brook Lean-to, and Beck Hollow Lean-to available. Junction with Conservation Trail where it heads north.



Ragged Fringed Orchid is just one of the wonders you may find.
