Building a 4,600 mile long hiking trail requires a lot of support from the public, communities and businesses. Businesses can express their support of the North Country Trail by becoming contributors at the level of $150 or more per year. We thank those that have taken this step, helping us work toward the long-term success of the Trail. Business Memberships
Aside from the benefits of being a Business Member, you'll also enjoy knowing that your dues are supporting an excellent cause. 25% of the dues will transfer directly to your local Chapter to assist the volunteers who build, maintain, protect and promote the North Country Trail. The remainder of your dues help our national office, which provides staff support and additional funding to volunteers, advocates for and promotes the trail, and provides services to our members and the public.
As a Business Member, you will enjoy these benefits:
- Your entire annual dues payment or gift of $150 or more qualifies as a tax-deductible gift, because the NCTA is a 501(c)(3) organization and you receive no goods or services of more than token value in exchange for your gift.
- We'll publish the name of your business in each issue of our membership magazine, the North Star, for as long as you remain a Business Member.
- If you also would like to buy a regular ad in the North Star, we'll give you a 20% discount off our regular rates.
- We'll provide a link to your web site, if you have one, on a Business Members page on our own web site, and occasionally feature it prominantly.
- To buy our merchandise at wholesale prices, your minimum order is reduced to 5 of each item (normally it's 10).
- If you request, we'll send you one or more posters promoting the North Country Trail to display, demonstrating your support of the Trail to your customers.
