NCNST through the Village of Homer

Here is a map or aerial image (your choice!) showing the track of the North Country National Scenic Trail through the Village of Homer in Calhoun County.

Track legend:

  • The green track shows the road/street walk path as the Trail enters the village from the south along 25˝ Mile Road and Byron Street.

  • The red track shows the path of the off-road Trail through Homer's old Grist Mill Park, then a three-block walk along Leigh and Webster Streets to access Homer's beautiful Linear Park pathway along the Kalamazoo River.  The Trail crosses Hillsdale Street and continues on a paved pathway west past the cemetery to 24 1/2 Mile Road where it ends and the North Country National Scenic Trail continues north as a roadwalk along 24˝ Mile Road on its way to Albion.

By playing with the drop-down menus in the upper right corner of the map image you can

  • tone down the background layer to better visualize details on the ground, and

  • select whether the background layer is a Google™ Street map, terrain map, a satellite image, or a USGS topo map, among others.  Scroll the image to the right if necessary to activate the background layer selection menu

You can also zoom in or out or drag the image to change the center point.
