First task of the day was to mow and clear brush from beneath the bases of the mighty Charlotte Highway Bridge which spans the entrance into Calhoun County's Historic Bridge Park.  Originally spanning the Grand River on Charlotte Highway in Ionia County, the bridge was constructed in 1886.  Click here for much more information about this interesting bridge.  The inset image of the bridge as it now spans the entrance drive into Historic Bridge Park is from the Historic Bridges of Michigan & Elsewhere Web site.
