Hiking notice:      

September 12:  We'll be working on the side-hill construction near the stream south of M-34 and perhaps blazing.  Meet at the hunter's lot on M-34 about .3 miles west of Chase Rd.

We usually meet at the Park-&-Ride lot near Ann Arbor, by the Miller Road exit off M 14.  Other arrangements can be made if you call ahead of time.  Departure from there should be 7:00 - 7:30 AM.

Trail Angel:  Wherever you end your day in the Baw Beese Chapter area, we have a volunteer who will take your weary self to the lodging of your choice and return you to the trail the next morning.  E-mail Mike Dundas here, or by phone at 313.384.5317.

Trail Fossil:  Your own VP and webmeister, Mike Dundas, will continue his hike of Michigan's section of the North Country Trail on October 2nd.  The trek will re-start north from (it's end a year ago) the store-front of NCTA headquarters in Lowell.  Over roughly two weeks, I hope to cover over 150 more miles of The Trail, which will - yet again - double my mileage so far.  To follow the adventure up to now, visit www.greatbigwalk.blogspot.com.
